Udhampur, Feb 10: S.K. Police Academy, Udhampur, inaugurated a five-day training program for investigators on “Safety of Women,” with 23 police officers from various districts of Jammu & Kashmir participating. The program was inaugurated by Shri Rajinder Gupta, IPS, SSP, Deputy Director (Indoor/Trainings), with Smt. Kavita Suri, Professor at the University of Jammu, as the distinguished guest. In his address, Shri Rajinder Gupta highlighted the need to enhance investigative skills in cases involving women, children, and cybercrime. He emphasized the importance of meticulous investigations and legal adherence to ensure successful convictions. The training will cover advanced investigative techniques and key laws, including the POCSO Act, Juvenile Justice Act, and IT Act. Expert lectures from Police Academy faculty, academia, and cyber forensic specialists will further enrich the sessions. The course is being coordinated by Inspector Vikas Manhas, assisted by ASI Zareena Malik, a faculty member at SKPA. |
