Early Times Report JAMMU, Feb 12: In a decisive action against illegal gambling, the Bakshi Nagar Police in Jammu apprehended four individuals engaged in gambling near Shamshad Ghat, Shakti Nagar. Acting on reliable information received on 11 February 2025, a police team led by Inspector Azad Manhas conducted a swift raid at the specified location and caught the accused red-handed. The arrested individuals have been identified as: Rahul Kular, son of Samsher Lal, resident of Lower Shiv Nagar, Jammu. Lucky, son of Tilak Raj, resident of Gurdaspur, currently residing in Toph Sher Khaniya, Jammu. Gurnam, son of Mukhtar, resident of Bakshi Nagar, Jammu. Thomas, son of Sardool Massi, resident of Bakshi Nagar, Jammu. During the operation, the police recovered a stake amount of Rs 11,400 along with playing cards. Additionally, the vehicle JK02 BH 0984, in which the accused were seated, and a motorcycle JK02 BR 3567 belonging to one of the accused, were seized.
