DC Doda reviews Kisan Khidmat Ghars, HADP progress | | | Early Times Report DODA, Feb 13: Deputy Commissioner Doda, Harvinder Singh presided over a review meeting to assess progress achieved in saturation of key initiatives of Holistic Agriculture Development Programme (HADP). The meeting, held in the VC room of DC's Office, was attended by Chief Planning Officer, Chief Agriculture Officer, Chief Animal Husbandry Officer, Chief Horticulture Officer, District Sheep Husbandry Officer, Assistant Director Fisheries, District Sericulture Officer, Assistant Floriculture Officer, and the Zonal Manager of J&K Bank. The meeting discussed the status of fund utilization, with the Deputy Commissioner directing the departmental functionaries to immediately furnish expenditure details. A comprehensive review was conducted regarding the decisions taken in the previous meeting and the functioning of P1 Kisan Khidmat Ghars (KKGs), particularly in terms of daily transactions, revenue generation and input services. Officials also provided updates on the establishment of P2 KKGs, the finalization of tenders (NITs), quoted rates, fund utilization and financial requirements. The Deputy Commissioner emphasized the importance of maintaining transparency in fund allocation and ensuring the timely execution of planned activities. He also reviewed the progress made by different departments under the HADP initiative, analyzing the targets achieved so far. The number of applications received by the concerned departments under the HADP initiative was also assessed. The DC Doda directed the officers to encourage more farmers to register for the program and instructed them to expedite the approval process for these applications. The meeting also included a detailed review of the HADP applications, the Skilling Daksh Kissan initiative, and the establishment of new units under the scheme. The Deputy Commissioner issued key directions to ensure effective credit disbursement and to track project-wise progress. He instructed the officers to improve interdepartmental coordination to maximize the program's benefits for the farming community. The meeting concluded with a discussion on additional issues with the permission of the chair, ensuring a thorough review of all ongoing and planned activities under the Holistic Agriculture Development Programme initiative. |
