Early Times Report POONCH, Feb 14: JKSPYM State Level Coordinating Agency J&K (SLCA J&K), in collaboration with NISD, Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, and district administration Poonch, conducted a one-day training program for Master Volunteers under the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan (NMBA) at Govt. Degree College, Poonch. Over 100 volunteers participated in the initiative aimed at combating substance abuse. DSWO Poonch, Mr. Wakeel Ahmed Bhat, addressed the gathering, highlighting the urgency of tackling drug addiction among the youth in Jammu and Kashmir. The training featured sessions on addiction awareness, myths and facts, counseling skills, and the role of NMBA leaders. Experts from SLCA J&K, including Ms. Kimi Padhiar and Mr. Deepak Bhati, conducted interactive sessions and discussions. The event concluded with a certificate distribution ceremony, recognizing the volunteers' commitment to creating a drug-free society. |
