Early Times Report JAMMU, Feb 14: A five-day Civil Defence Workshop successfully concluded today at Shri Ranbir Campus, organized in collaboration with the NSS Unit of the institution. The workshop focused on equipping students and staff with essential life-saving skills and emergency response techniques. The training sessions were conducted by SI R.D. Saini and Instructor Rajinder A. Sharma, who provided hands-on demonstrations on CPR, drowning rescue techniques, and other critical emergency response procedures. Participants gained practical knowledge to handle crisis situations effectively. The valedictory function was graced by Prof. Shreedhar Mishra, Director of Shri Ranbir Campus, as the Chief Guest. In his address, he emphasized the significance of civil defence training and the need for such preparedness initiatives in educational institutions. The workshop witnessed active participation from 230 students, faculty members, and non-teaching staff, reflecting a keen interest in learning essential safety skills. The event concluded with a formal vote of thanks by Dr. Gopal Verma, Program Coordinator, who expressed his heartfelt gratitude to all teachers, students, and especially the Civil Defence team for their invaluable contribution in conducting the workshop successfully.
