JAMMU, Feb 14: The Department of Political Science, GCW Parade Ground, in collaboration with Jammu & Kashmir Police, organized an awareness lecture on the newly framed criminal laws of 2023-BNS, BNSS, and BSA. The session aimed to educate students on legal reforms and their implications.
Held under the mentorship of Principal Dr. Ravender Kumar Tickoo, the event featured resource persons Vikram Bhau (SDPO, Jammu North) and Mr. Rakesh Jamwal (SHO, Pacca Danga). Mr. Bhau elaborated on laws concerning women and children, while Mr. Jamwal addressed issues like harassment, drug addiction, cyber fraud, and social media misuse.
The session witnessed active participation from faculty and over 100 students. Ulfat Khan, College President, welcomed the guests, and Prof. Jasneet Kour, HOD Political Science, delivered the vote of thanks. |
