Early Times Report JAMMU, Feb 15: The two-day National Seminar on "Roadmap for Revamping Higher Education through NEP-2020" concluded successfully at Cluster University of Jammu. The event was organized by the School of Teacher Education (SOTE) and the School of Social Sciences, in collaboration with the Government College of Education, Jammu, to foster discussions on the future of higher education under the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. The seminar began with a welcome address by Dr. Jyoti Parihar, Principal, Government College of Education, Jammu, who set the stage for insightful academic exchanges. The seminar featured five interactive sessions, chaired by Prof. Ekta Gupta, Dr. Rajinder Kaur, Dr. Seema Arora, Dr. Monika Sharma, Prof. Archana Koul, Dr. Shalini Rana, Dr. D.K. Bangotra, and Dr. Jai Pal Singh. Over 60 research papers were presented in both online and offline modes, with participation from scholars across J&K, West Bengal, Punjab, Delhi, Gujarat, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Karnataka, Uttar Pradesh, and Uttarakhand. In his address, Mr. Abdul Majid Bhat emphasized NEP-2020 as a transformative and visionary framework, aiming to create an inclusive, equitable, and high-quality education system in India. He stressed the need for collaborative efforts to successfully implement the policy for the benefit of students and institutions. Dr. Ravail Singh, Assistant Professor, SOTE, provided a detailed overview of the seminar proceedings, summarizing the key discussions and contributions. The seminar concluded with a formal vote of thanks by Dr. Niharika Panda, Assistant Professor, SOTE.
