JAMMU, Feb 15: Government College for Women, Bhagwati Nagar, under the leadership of Principal Prof. (Dr.) Meeru Abrol, organized a Disaster Management Awareness Program to equip students and staff with essential emergency response skills.
The event featured a student seminar and an essay writing competition on disaster preparedness. Kajal, Laxmi Devi, and Amandeep Kour of B.A. Semester 6 secured the top three positions in the competition, judged by Dr. Mosmi Raina and Prof. Gagan Jyoti.
An interactive session with Dr. Muzaffar Hussain and Mr. Goyal Giri emphasized leadership in disaster response. Principal Dr. Meeru Abrol highlighted the initiative's role in fostering a culture of preparedness and resilience.
