SAMBA, Feb 15: Samba Police successfully foiled a bovine smuggling attempt in the jurisdiction of PS Ghagwal, rescuing 16 bovines and seizing the vehicle used for illegal transportation.
Acting on a tip-off, a police team led by SHO Ghagwal intercepted a truck (JK02AU-9918) at Naka Tapyal, NHW Ghagwal. Upon checking, the cattle were found tied cruelly and being transported without valid permission. The rescued bovines were shifted to a safer location.
A case FIR No. 26/2025 U/S 223 BNS & 11 PCA Act has been registered at PS Ghagwal, and further investigation is underway. |
