Early Times Report KATHUA, Feb 15: Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) Kathua successfully concluded a 15-day certificate course on Integrated Nutrient Management (INM) for input dealers. The program, which began on January 28, 2025, was held under the leadership of Hon'ble Vice-Chancellor Dr. B.N. Tripathi (SKUAST-Jammu) and the guidance of Dr. Amrish Vaid, Director Extension, SKUAST-Jammu. Aimed at enhancing the knowledge of fertilizer dealers and facilitating their license renewal, the course saw the participation of 22 individuals. Experts from SKUAST-Jammu, the Department of Agriculture, and fertilizer companies provided insights on nutrient management, plant protection, and modern agricultural practices. Participants also visited soil labs and progressive farms in Kathua. The valedictory session, graced by Dr. Amrish Vaid as Chief Guest, emphasized the adoption of advanced technologies for increasing agricultural productivity. Dr. Vishal Mahajan, Chief Scientist & Head, KVK Kathua, and Dr. Vishal Sharma, Course Coordinator, highlighted the significance of such training in modern agriculture. Contributions from Dr. Berjesh Ajrawat, Dr. Anamika Jamwal, and other experts enriched the program. The course successfully equipped participants with vital knowledge, reinforcing efforts to enhance farming practices and boost farmer incomes.
