KISHTWAR, Feb 15: J&K Police District Kishtwar, in collaboration with the Civil Administration, organized an awareness programme on the implementation of new criminal laws at the Conference Hall, R&B Building, Chatroo. The session, held on the directions of senior formations, was led by SHO PS Chatroo, Inspector Vikram Singh.
The programme saw the participation of SDM Chatroo, Tehsildar Chatroo, Tehsildar Mughal Maidan, BDO Chatroo, TSO Chatroo, Naib Tehsildars, other administrative staff members, and respected individuals from the Chatroo area, along with the general public.
Attendees were briefed on the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS), and Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam (BSA), with a special focus on digital tools for transparent investigations and speedy justice delivery. The session also highlighted provisions related to women's safety and the legal rights and responsibilities of citizens under the new laws.
