JAMMU, Feb 17: A Five-Day Human Resource Development (HRD) Programme on Integrated Pest Management (IPM) was inaugurated today at Kisan Kendra, Talab Tillo, Jammu, organized by the Central Integrated Pest Management Centre (CIPMC) Jammu. The event was inaugurated by S. Arvinder Singh Reen, Director Agriculture Jammu, and attended by various distinguished officials, including Sh. Satish Sharma, Joint Director (Extension) Agriculture, Dr. Vishal Gupta, Professor & Head of Plant Pathology, SKUAST-J, and Dr. Mithilesh Kumar Arya, Deputy Director (Plant Protection) CIPMC Jammu.
The HRD programme aims to enhance participants' understanding of safe pesticide use, promote CIB&RC-approved pesticides, and highlight the role of botanicals in agriculture for sustainable practices. It targets 40 pesticide dealers and progressive farmers from Jammu Division.
