Early Times Report SAMBA, Feb 17: In a continued drive against traffic rule violations, Samba Police has seized 14 two-wheelers across the district, including nine motorcycles fitted with illegal modified silencers. The action follows numerous public complaints regarding the nuisance caused by these bikes, particularly Bullet motorcycles, due to excessive noise. The seized motorcycles fitted with modified silencers include JK08N-1623, JK21G-9584, JK02BS-5772, JK08H-5321, JK08F-2554, JK21E-8677, JK21E-5027, JK02CJ-7844, and PB06AE-2567. Unauthorized modifications to vehicle silencers violate the Motor Vehicles Act, contributing to noise pollution, reducing efficiency, and posing safety risks. Additionally, five more motorcycles were seized under relevant sections of the Motor Vehicles Act for other traffic violations. These include JK02AH-4731, JK21A-4742, JK02AF-0548, JK02AB-6693, and HR02E-6041. SSP Samba has issued a strict warning against those using illegally modified silencers, emphasizing that the crackdown will continue to ensure road safety and public order. |
