UDHAMPUR, Feb 18: A police team from the Udhampur Police Station, led by the Station House Officer (SHO), seized 50 bottles of illicit liquor and arrested a bootlegger during routine patrolling. The arrested individual, Om Singh, son of Late Suram Chand from Narsoo Chenani, was spotted acting suspiciously and attempted to flee when he noticed the police team.
Upon frisking, the police recovered 50 quarters (180 ml) of JK Special Whisky, which Singh had in his possession. He was promptly arrested at the scene.
A case has been registered under relevant sections of the law at Udhampur Police Station, and further investigations are ongoing.
