Early Times Report JAMMU, Feb 19: NCC Cadets of 2 J&K Battalion (Boys), Government Degree College (GDC) Paloura, conducted a social service initiative by distributing study material to underprivileged children in nearby areas. As part of the event, the cadets visited Gujar dwellings and distributed essential educational supplies, including pens, pencils, books, and notebooks. Along with providing study material, they also emphasized the importance of education and encouraged families to enroll their children in schools. The initiative was organized under the NCC's Social Service and Community Development Programme, which engages cadets in various community welfare activities such as blood donation, tree plantation, adult education, and awareness campaigns on social issues. These efforts aim to instill a sense of social responsibility among cadets and contribute to the well-being of local communities. The event was coordinated by Prof. (Lt.) Arun Sharma, NCC Officer of the college, under the guidance of Dr. Kulvinder Kaur, Principal, GDC Paloura.
