Early Times Report KATHUA, Feb 19: In a significant crackdown on drug trafficking, the Police team of PP Hatli recovered approximately 9.8 grams of heroin (Chitta) and arrested one drug peddler in its jurisdiction. Acting on intelligence inputs, a special naka/checking was conducted under the supervision of SSP Kathua Shobhit Saksena (IPS). The operation was led by PSI Shubham Mahajan (IC PP Hatli), under the guidance of DySP Hqrs Kathua Manjeet Singh and SHO PS Kathua Insp. Sandeep Chib. During the operation, a woman identified as Jyoti Devi, wife of Rahul Kumar, resident of Chak Drab Khan, Kathua, was apprehended with 9.8 grams of heroin-like substance in her possession. The contraband was seized, and the accused was taken into custody on the spot. A case has been registered under FIR No. 82/2025, U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act at PS Kathua, and further investigation is underway.
