Early Times Report JAMMU, Feb 20: The Literary Club, in collaboration with the NSS Unit of GGM Science College, organized a series of activities to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the adoption of the Indian Constitution. The event was held under the aegis of Principal Dr. Prof. Romesh Kumar Gupta and the guidance of Convener Dr. Jatinder Kour, along with faculty members of the Literary Club. In his address, Dr. Gupta emphasized the importance of such initiatives in educating students about the fundamentals of the Indian Constitution and its Preamble, fostering a sense of nationalism. The program commenced with a prayer, followed by the formal inauguration of the Literary Club activities. Student secretaries Chakshu and Sumeet Kumar led the proceedings. Tanya Gupta and Manmeet Kour recited the Preamble, which was solemnly repeated by the participants. A panel discussion on "Understanding the Preamble" was a highlight of the event, with student volunteers Ishit Kour, Ujjwal Thakur, Merryleen Kour, Tanya Gupta, Dhruv, Manvi, Gauri, Gurpreet (PG Dept. of English), and Bharath Makotra presenting their insights. The discussion was moderated by Sumeet Kumar. The event concluded with a vote of thanks, followed by the singing of the National Anthem. |
