Agencies MANDI GOBINDGARH, Feb 20: Desh Bhagat University (DBU) Mandi Gobindgarh has entered into a strategic partnership with SMAART Healthcare (IGreat Digi Health Private Limited) Chennai through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to foster collaboration in AI-driven healthcare education, research and skill development. The MoU was formally signed by Dr. Sandeep Singh, President, Desh Bhagat University, and Ms. Rehana Ameer, Founder & CEO, SMAART Healthcare. Also present on the occasion were Dr. Harsh Sadawarti, Vice President, DBU, and Mr. Arun Malik, Director-International, DBU. Under this partnership, both institutions will work together to integrate AI and digital health technologies into healthcare education, conduct joint research in AI-based healthcare innovations, and provide internship and clinical training opportunities for DBU students. The collaboration will also focus on community health screening programs, preventive healthcare awareness campaigns, and technology-driven health initiatives. Speaking at the signing ceremony, Dr. Sandeep Singh , President, DBU, emphasized the importance of AI in transforming modern healthcare education and noted that this collaboration would equip DBU students with cutting-edge skills in digital healthcare solutions. As the key person responsible for implementing the MoU on behalf of DBU, Dr. Harsh Sadawarti, Vice President assured that the university would actively work towards maximizing the benefits of this partnership. Ms. Rehana Ameer, CEO of SMAART Healthcare, expressed her enthusiasm for the collaboration, stating, "This partnership aligns with our mission to leverage AI for accessible and affordable healthcare.
