Early Times Report JAMMU, Feb 20: The National Disaster Management Authority of India, Airport Authority Jammu Airport and Jammu & Kashmir Disaster Management Authority jointly conducted a Disaster Management Mock Exercise on February 18 and 19. All the Stakeholders, multiple agencies participated in the earthquake mock drill. The J&K Disaster Management department is committed to deal with any disaster situation and is carrying out regular preparedness drills involving mobilization of resources and responders. During the two day long Mock exercise, diverse stakeholders besides disaster managers and responders were brought together on a single platform enabling them to exploit their capabilities and various procedures/processes for effective, timely and coordinated response. Various officers and officials from NDMA, Airport Authority Jammu, J&K Disaster Management department, district administration, NDRF, SDRF, Home Guards/Civil Defense, Army, CRPF, Airforce, health Department, Fire & Emergency Department, all Emergency Line departments and Apda Mitras participated in rescue drills. All the participating departments and agencies displayed commendable efforts and made this mock drill successful.
