| GDC Udhampur felicitates NCC cadets for outstanding performance | | |

Udhampur, Feb 20: Government Degree College (GDC) Udhampur organized a grand felicitation ceremony to honor its NCC cadets for their remarkable achievements at the Republic Day Parade in New Delhi. Cadets from 2 J&K Girls Bn and 2 J&K Boys Bn made the institution proud with their outstanding performances, bringing laurels to their NCC Units, NCC Group Headquarters Jammu, and JK&L Directorate.
The event, held in the college conference hall, was attended by faculty members, students, and dignitaries who gathered to celebrate the cadets’ success. Principal GDC Udhampur expressed immense pride in their dedication and discipline, commending their rigorous training and perseverance. Special appreciation was extended to Associate NCC Officer Capt. Shivani Sharma and CTO Dr. Vijay Kumar for their mentorship and guidance.
Notable Achievements:
Cadet Aryan Khajuria – Awarded the DG Medallion, 2nd runner-up in Ballet Competition, Flag Area Briefer (Team secured 6th position nationally), Best Cadet from JK&L Directorate, selected for YEP (Youth Exchange Programme).
Cadet Utkarash – ADG Appreciation Award, Bronze Medal in Group Dance & Ballet Competition, participated in Group Song, selected for YEP.
Cadet Vinesh – ADG Appreciation for marching on Kartvya Path.
Cadet Rohit & SUO Kriti – Participated in PM Rally Contingent.
Cadet Pranav – Led the PM Rally Contingent of JK&L Directorate as Commander.
Cadet Sneha Sharma & Cadet Siya Manhas – Represented J&K cultural tableau at RD Parade, received State Award for Art & Culture.
Guinness World Record – Team created a record on Jan 24, 2025, at IARI, New Delhi, for the largest Indian folk variety dance.
The honored cadets shared their inspiring journey, highlighting the intense training and challenges they faced. Their experiences motivated fellow students to strive for excellence and participate in national events.
