Early Times Report JAMMU, Feb 21: Government College for Women (GCW), Bhagwati Nagar, celebrated the 75th anniversary of the adoption of the Indian Constitution and the 150th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel with a Preamble Recitation Activity. The event aimed to reaffirm constitutional values and honor Patel's contributions to national integration. Principal Prof. (Dr.) Meeru Abrol delivered the inaugural address, emphasizing the significance of the Constitution as the cornerstone of India's democracy. She highlighted that reciting the Preamble is a conscious reaffirmation of fundamental rights and duties. Students participated enthusiastically, their voices echoing the principles of justice, liberty, equality, and fraternity. Faculty members also spoke on Sardar Patel's legacy, underscoring his leadership in India's unification. Dr. Meeru Abrol stated, "The Preamble serves as the soul of our Constitution, guiding citizens towards their collective responsibilities." The event concluded with a pledge-taking ceremony, reinforcing the commitment to constitutional values.
