GDC Thannamandi organizes workshop on entrepreneurship development 2/21/2025 10:15:29 PM Early Times Report THANNAMANDI, Feb 21: The Career Counselling Cell and Institution's Innovation Council (IIC) of Government Degree College (GDC) Thannamandi in collaboration with Rajouri Centre of Jammu & Kashmir Entrepreneurship Development Institute (JKEDI) organized a workshop on entrepreneurship development as part of Viksit Bharat @2047 Abhiyan here today. On this occasion a brainstorming workshop on entrepreneurship development organized under the patronage of Prof. (Dr.) Farooq Ahmed, Principal of College wherein Arshid Ahmed Malik, Assistant Faculty/DNO and Imtiyaz Ahad Malla, Associate Project Manager at District Centre Rajouri of JKEDI were resource persons. Dr. Ashaq Malik, Convener Career Counselling Cell and IIC in the College co-ordinated the program. In the highly interactive session, the resource persons, Arshid Malik and Imtiyaz Malla, demonstrated the potential among youth and students to become entrepreneurs and change makers in society by devising innovative business skills and knowledge. They quoted examples, how the entrepreneurs have become job creators then the job seekers in different parts of the country and world. Integration of AI and innovations in entrepreneurship with ever changing working environments were other focal areas of the workshop. While speaking on the occasion, Dr. Farooq Ahmed applauded the initiative undertaken by the Career Counselling Cell and IIC to raise awareness about entrepreneurship. He said that there is huge potential of entrepreneurship in our country and if exploited to its fullest by our collaborative efforts, we can overcome growing unemployment by creating new job opportunities. Earlier, Dr. Ashaq Malik introduced the audience about the program and conducted the proceedings whereas Dr. Mudasir Ahmed Gori presented the formal vote of thanks.
