Mahakumbh Nagar, Feb 22: As the grand and divine Mahakumbh 2025 enters its final phase, preparations for the last major bathing day on Mahashivratri (February 26) are in full swing. Every day, crores of devotees are flocking to Prayagraj to take a holy dip in the sacred Triveni Sangam before the grand conclusion.
Aligned with Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s vision, the administration has turned preparations into a mission, ensuring seamless crowd management for the final weekend rush and last Snan. Strategic plans for railway operations, traffic diversions, and parking facilities are being implemented to provide a smooth pilgrimage experience.
To prevent inconvenience to devotees, senior officials have taken charge on the ground, actively monitoring and executing management strategies. With unprecedented participation expected, the Yogi government is leaving no stone unturned to make the last holy dip a historic and well-organized event.
Prayagraj DM Ravindra Mandar shared that, as per CM Yogi Adityanath’s vision, there has been a significant increase in the number of devotees arriving for the final Mahashivratri Snan via railways, airports, roadways, and personal vehicles. CM Yogi had envisioned that over 50 crore devotees from across the world would take a holy dip at Mahakumbh, and a detailed framework was prepared accordingly.
To manage the massive crowd efficiently, a well-structured plan was implemented to ensure a smooth and comfortable experience for all devotees. With the final bathing day approaching, these efforts have been intensified.
DM Mandar mentioned that officials and staff are continuously on the ground, monitoring arrangements to enhance the overall experience for devotees. The administration is actively working on feedback-based improvements and ensuring traffic management plans are effectively executed, especially during weekends, peak days, and holidays. Traffic diversion strategies are being enforced by the police, with officers being briefed and alerted to handle any issues.
CM Yogi Adityanath himself is personally monitoring the entire event to ensure a seamless experience for both devotees and local residents. Coordination between districts, police, and administrative authorities is being strengthened.
DM Mandar further stated that regular discussions and reviews under the leadership of ADG Zone and the Commissioner have helped in successfully managing the event
