Early Times Report

Akhnoor, Feb 23: In a dedicated effort toward environmental conservation, the Synergetic Green Warriors Foundation (SGWF) organized a cleanliness drive at Jia Pota Ghat, Akhnoor. The initiative was conducted under Mission Amrit: Swachh Jal, Swachh Man, inspired by Dr. Sonia Verma, Director and CEO of SGWF. The drive was carried out in collaboration with Shri Mandir Ghat Committee Akhnoor and Sant Nirankari Mission Akhnoor.
The event saw enthusiastic participation from volunteers, including MLA Akhnoor Mohan Lal Bhagat, local residents, and members of partner organizations. Volunteers actively engaged in clearing waste, plastic, and pollutants from the ghat, ensuring a cleaner and healthier environment for the community.
Addressing the gathering, MLA Mohan Lal Bhagat stressed the importance of keeping water bodies clean, highlighting that pollutants draining into rivers and lakes are a major cause of health issues. He urged people to take responsibility for maintaining cleanliness and preventing water contamination to safeguard future generations.
Dr. Sonia Verma, speaking on the occasion, emphasized the significance of community-driven initiatives in promoting environmental responsibility. She encouraged citizens to participate in such efforts and adopt sustainable practices to preserve natural resources.
SGWF continues its commitment to ecological awareness and sustainability through various campaigns and initiatives. The foundation expressed gratitude to all participants for their dedication and urged more people to contribute to making Akhnoor a cleaner and greener place.
