Agencies NEW DELHI, Feb 28: The DST iTBI, IIM Jammu was inaugurated at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi, on the occasion of National Science Day 2025 by Dr. Jitendra Singh, Hon'ble Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Science & Technology and Earth Sciences. The event was held under the theme, "Empowering Indian Youth for Global Leadership in Science and Innovation for Viksit Bharat." The ceremony was graced by distinguished dignitaries, including Prof. Abhay Karandikar, Secretary, Department of Science and Technology (DST); Dr. V. Narayanan, Secretary, Department of Science & Chairman, ISRO; Shri Vaidya Rajesh Kotecha, Secretary, Ministry of Ayush; Prof. Ashutosh Sharma, President, INSA; Dr. N. Kalaiselvi, Director General, CSIR; Dr. Rajesh S. Gokhale, Secretary, DBT; Prof. A.K. Sood, Principal Scientific Advisor to the Government of India; and Dr. Rashmi Sharma, Head, NCSTC, DST. Representing IIM Jammu at the event were Prof. B.S. Sahay, Director, IIM Jammu; Dr. Muqbil Burhan, Chairperson, Center for Entrepreneurship, Innovation & Skill Development, IIM Jammu; Dr. Vivek Sharma, Chief Innovation Officer (Jammu), IIM Jammu; and Shri Kannav Padha, Manager, DST iTBI, IIM Jammu. The DST iTBI, IIM Jammu marks a significant milestone in fostering entrepreneurship, innovation, and skill development among youth. It aims to build a robust ecosystem for startups, researchers, and innovators, aligning with India's vision of becoming a global leader in science and technology. The initiative is expected to serve as a hub for nurturing innovation, facilitating research, and supporting startups in their entrepreneurial journey.
