YCET organizes visit at CIIIT, Jammu

JAMMU, Mar 4: The Yogananda College of Engineering & Technology (YCET) organized an Industrial visit for B.Tech students of all the branches as well as Semesters of Civil Engg, Electrical Engg, Mechanical Engg and Computer Science & Engineering to the Centre for Invention, Innovation, Incubation & Training (CIIIT), Jammu which has been established by Tata Technologies Ltd, Pune at Government Polytechnic, Jammu to impart training in the latest trends of Manufacturing Technology, Construction Technology. The prime aim and objective of the visit was to enrich the Knowledge & exposure to the world of work. The Centre imparts training in cross-disciplinary, where designers & the curious can explore and pursue their interest in the modern world, develop personal projects and start collaborative projects. YCET is keen to find out various means to give exposure to their students.
Er. Rajnish Magotra, HOD (Civil Engineering Department, YCET)) briefed about the latest technologies established at CIIIT with the aim of up-skilling & enhancing employability of Engineering students to the latest trends by imparting skill training on the latest technologies with the help of faculty from TATA Technologies that will certainly bridge the gap between Industry and Academia. During interaction experts Ms. Heena Gupta, Lecturer CSE, Govt Polytechnic, Jammu discussed about Value Engineering, IoT, Critical thinking / writing and live product design of programme commenced with the kind projects to meet the demand of consumers and the market. She gave power point presentation on use of IOT for smart city project of Jammu mentioning six areas like Smart grid, Smart education, Smart water bodies, Smart governance, Smart health care and Smart transportation, the session ended with fruitful discussions and comprehensive exposure with Industry experts. The faculty accompanied were Rajnish Magotra, Loveneesh Talwar, Inderdeep Singh and Anshu Sharma.
The Visit was made possible because of the dedication and able guidance of Er. Talat Hussain, Principal Govt Polytechnic, Jammu. Er. Raj Kumar (HoD, Mechanical Engg, Jammu), Mr. Rishab, Mr Ghulam Rabani. The students were enriched by this visit.
Er Vidhi S. Singh, Chairman (JGEI), Th. SDS Jamwal, Vice-Chairman (JGEI), Er. Renu Bangroo, Managing Director (JGEI) congratulated for such initiative and said that such visits should be a continuous practice. Er. Dinesh Gupta, Dean Academics and Er. B.R. Verma, Chief Coordinator also complimented for such visit.
