Soil Testing Laboratory Kathua achieves NABL accreditation | | | Early Times Report KATHUA, Mar 4: The Soil Testing Laboratory (STL) in Kathua was accredited by the National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories (NABL). This significant milestone was attained under the leadership and guidance of Sh. Sanjeev Rai Gupta. Chief Agriculture Officer, Kathua and the dedicated efforts of the Assistant Soil Chemist, Kathua Sh Anil Kumar, and the entire STL Kathua team Soil testing analyzes farmland for parameters such as chemical content, toxicity, pH level, salinity, and more. Soil testing can also provide information on chemical contamination, organic content, and electric conductivity. Soil testing is a critical component in agricultural productivity and environmental management. It helps determine the nutrient content, composition, and other characteristics such as the pH level and contamination levels of the soil The Soil Testing Laboratory (STL) Kathua has achieved accreditation from the National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories (NABL) in accordance with Recognition Programme for Government Soil Testing Laboratories for soil macro and micro nutrients testing. The NABL, an autonomous body under the Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India, is renowned for providing accreditation to testing and calibration laboratories across various fields. As a Constituent Board of the Quality Council of India, NABL sets rigorous standards to enhance the efficacy and quality of testing laboratories. NABL is a certification that ensures that the laboratories have infrastructure and processes that are accepted nationally and internationally. NABL accreditation is provided by Quality Council of India. "This recognition is a testament to the hard work and dedication of the STL Kathua team.
