Jammu police organizes debate competition on "Nasha Mukht Bharat"

JAMMU, Mar 5: Jammu and Kashmir Police in Jammu organized a debate competition on the theme "Nasha Mukht Bharat" at Government Shri Ranbir Model Higher Secondary School, Jammu. This event was part of the "Nasha Mukht Bharat Abhiyaan", a nationwide campaign aimed at making India drug-free under the Civic Action Programme (CAP).
The program was supervised by SSP Jammu, Shri Joginder Singh, and attended by senior officers, including Superintendent of Police City North, Jammu, Shri Vivek Shekhar-JKPS, SPDO City North, Jammu, Shri Vikram Singh-JKPS, and SHO P/S Pacca Danga, Jammu, Shri Rakesh Kumar.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, teachers, and other attendees, who engaged in the debate with zeal and enthusiasm. The officers emphasized the urgent need to protect the younger generation from the menace of drug abuse, highlighting its devastating consequences on individuals, families, and society. They stressed the importance of empowering youth to remain drug-free and raising awareness about the ill effects of drugs to contribute to a "Nasha Mukht Bharat".
The debate competition provided a platform for participants to share their perspectives, explore solutions, and deliberate on the complex issue of drug abuse, which poses a serious threat to society.
To recognize and encourage the participants, prizes and certificates were distributed among the winners and outstanding speakers. The students who presented compelling arguments and solutions were felicitated by the dignitaries, further motivating them to become ambassadors of the drug-free movement.
During the event, several dignitaries addressed the gathering:
Superintendent of Police City North, Jammu, Shri Vivek Shekhar-JKPS, emphasized the role of the public in combating drug abuse and highlighted law enforcement's commitment to tackling this issue. He urged society to remain vigilant and take a stand against drug-related activities.
SPDO City North, Jammu, Shri Vikram Singh-JKPS, reiterated the police's resolve to curb drug abuse, stating that law enforcement agencies will work tirelessly to eradicate this menace. He announced that efforts will be intensified through increased patrolling, surveillance, and community outreach programs to prevent drug-related activities. He also encouraged the installation of CCTV cameras under Operation Third Eye to enhance security.
SHO P/S Pacca Danga, Shri Rakesh Kumar, assured that the police will remain vigilant and take swift action against any suspicious activities. He stressed the importance of community cooperation in tackling drug-related issues and ensuring a safer environment.
Principal of Government Shri Ranbir Model Higher Secondary School, Jammu, emphasized the need for collective efforts to combat drug abuse, urging everyone to work together in creating a drug-free society where youth can grow in a healthy and supportive environment.
Other speakers also emphasized the importance of youth involvement in the fight against drugs, highlighting that the younger generation is the future of the nation. They stressed that drug abuse is a social evil affecting individuals, families, and communities, urging for a collaborative approach to eliminate this threat.
The event concluded with a unified commitment to continue awareness campaigns and strengthen measures to combat drug abuse.
Jammu and Kashmir Police reaffirmed its dedication to safeguarding the youth and ensuring a drug-free society for future generations.
