Early Times Report UDHAMPUR, Mar 5: In an effort to assess the functioning and infrastructure development of police units, Anand Jain, IPS, ADGP Armed J&K, visited the IRP 24th Battalion Headquarters at Ritti, Udhampur. His visit focused on reviewing the progress of ongoing construction work and addressing the welfare concerns of personnel. Accompanied by SSP Udhampur Shri Amod Ashok Nagpure, IPS, and SSP & Commandant IRP 24th Battalion Shri Mohd Aslam, IPS, the ADGP received a Guard of Honour upon his arrival. He conducted a detailed inspection of the Battalion premises, including Sui Udhampur, Ramnagar Railway Station, and SKAPA Udhampur company locations. During the visit, the ADGP stressed the need to expedite construction work and instructed engineers to ensure the early completion of Battalion Headquarters and associated facilities to enhance operational efficiency. A Darbar was also held with officers and officials of the battalion, where personnel raised various service and welfare-related issues. The ADGP issued on-the-spot directions to address their concerns and emphasized the importance of ongoing refresher courses, physical fitness, and training programs for personnel. Highlighting the significance of hygiene and well-being, he instructed officers to conduct regular cleanliness drives and ensure that all personnel undergo medical examinations to maintain their health. The ADGP lauded the dedication and hard work of the IRP 24th Battalion and urged officers to continue their commitment to discipline, professionalism, and efficiency. |
