Early Times Report JAMMU, Mar 5: Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Police, Jammu-Samba-Kathua (JSK) Range, Shiv Kumar, IPS, conducted a surprise security review in Jammu today to assess law enforcement preparedness and ensure stringent security measures. During the inspection, DIG Shiv Kumar visited key locations, including Jewel Chowk and Bus Stand, where he interacted with police personnel on duty. He was accompanied by SHO Nowabad, SHO Bus Stand, DySP Headquarters Jammu, and other officers. Later, DIG Shiv Kumar presided over a piping ceremony for newly promoted Sub-Inspectors at Gandhi Nagar, Jammu. The event was attended by SSP Jammu Joginder Singh, SP South Ajay, SSP Traffic Qureshi, and SDPO Sunil Jasrotia, who congratulated the officers on their promotions. In addition, a delegation of Muslim women from Bathindi, Chowadi, and Sunjwan met with the DIG to submit a complaint regarding a fraudulent scheme by a private company falsely claiming government affiliation. The DIG assured them of strict action against those responsible.
