Desh Bhagat Radio and SBI hosts Walkathon to celebrate International Women's Day

MANDI GOBINDGARH, Mar 8: In celebration of International Women's Day, Desh Bhagat Radio FM 107.8 Aap Ki Awaaz, in collaboration with State Bank of India (SBI), successfully organized a Walkathon to honor the achievements, strength, and resilience of women. The event brought together people from all walks of life to raise awareness for women's empowerment and gender equality.
Mr Kajal Kumar Bhwmik DGM SBI and Dr Surjit Kaur Patheja, Director Media and Performing Arts DBU flagged off the walkathon. The Walkathon started at 6:00 AM from SBI LHO sector 17 Chandigarh to via Matka Chowk, Hotel Taj, Police Station, Shib Singh light points and back at LHO and saw the participation of hundreds of enthusiastic walkers, including employees from SBI, community members, and supporters of the cause. The participants walked a designated route, promoting physical well-being while celebrating the role women play in shaping the community and society at large.
