Early Times Report JAMMU, Mar 17: The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Jammu had the honor of welcoming a high-level Indian Army delegation led by Lt. Gen M.V. Suchindra Kumar, PVSM, AVSM, YSM**, VSM, GOC-in-C, Northern Command. The delegation also included Lt. Gen Navin Sachdeva, AVSM, SM, GOC, 16 Corps, along with other senior army officers. Prof. B.S. Sahay, Director, IIM Jammu, warmly received the delegation and provided an overview of the institute's world-class infrastructure and academic vision through an Architectural Scale Model of the campus. The visit featured a comprehensive campus tour covering key areas such as the Grand Reception Area, Academic Office, Nalanda Library, Smart Classrooms, Mandapam Auditorium, Placement Office, Student Affairs, Alumni and International Relations Offices, Vedanta Executive Education Block, Vishrantika Faculty Lounge, and the Senate Hall. The delegation also visited a classroom in session, where they interacted with students to gain firsthand insight into the academic environment at IIM Jammu. Following the tour, a discussion was held in the Director's Office and Board Room on potential collaborations between the Indian Army and IIM Jammu. Key focus areas included leadership development, customized management training for defense personnel, and joint research in strategic domains, reflecting a shared commitment to fostering innovation and capacity-building. As a gesture of appreciation, Prof. B.S. Sahay felicitated Lt. Gen M.V. Suchindra Kumar, Lt. Gen Navin Sachdeva, and other senior officers. In turn, Lt. Gen Kumar felicitated Prof. Sahay, recognizing IIM Jammu's contribution to nation-building and its excellence in leadership and education. The event was attended by Dr. Rajesh Sikka, Dr. Vinod Durge, Dr. Sanjeev Pathak, Shri Sanjay Gupta, and Shri Prashant Mishra, Professor of Practice at IIM Jammu. The visit concluded with a formal send-off, marking the beginning of a promising partnership between IIM Jammu and the Indian Army's Northern Command.
