Early Times Report DODA, Mar 18: Anand Jain, IPS, ADGP Armed J&K, paid his maiden visit to IRP-5th Battalion at Beoli, Doda, to assess the unit's functioning. He was accompanied by Sh. Rajinder Singh, SSP APCR Jammu, and was warmly received by Sh. Afroz Ahmad, Commandant, IRP-5th Battalion, and Sh. Sandeep Mehta, SSP Doda. On arrival, the ADGP was accorded a ceremonial Guard of Honour by unit personnel. He also participated in a plantation drive and laid a wreath at the Martyrs' Memorial to pay tribute to the brave personnel who sacrificed their lives in the line of duty. During the visit, the ADGP interacted with officers and inspected the battalion's infrastructure and allied facilities. A Special Darbar was held, where he emphasized the importance of discipline and punctuality among the personnel. He stressed the need to incorporate physical activities to maintain fitness and urged personnel to avoid a sedentary lifestyle to prevent health issues. The ADGP directed officers to restart PT, refresher courses, and outdoor training to enhance the physical fitness of personnel for handling challenging situations. He also instructed for immediate medical tests of unit personnel and encouraged the adoption of E-Office mode to digitize administrative processes and reduce paperwork. Later, the ADGP visited B-Coy of the unit stationed at DPL Doda, where he interacted with officers and officials, reviewing the security measures in place. His visit reaffirmed the commitment to strengthening discipline, efficiency, and overall preparedness within the unit. |
