Early Times Report KATHUA, Mar 19: J&K Police Kathua inaugurated a T20 Cricket Tournament under the theme "Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan" as part of the Civic Action Programme 2024-25 at Bhaddu Ground, Chaugan, in the jurisdiction of Police Station Billawar. The tournament was inaugurated by SP Operations Upper Billawar, Sh. Aumer Iqbal (JKPS), accompanied by SDPO Billawar, Sh. Neeraj Padyar, and SHO PS Billawar, Insp. Zaheer Manhas. The event also saw the presence of DDC Billawar, Er. Bikram Singh, and other officials. The opening match was played between Dare Devil Malhar and Master 11 Basohli. Dare Devil Malhar won the toss and opted to bat first, setting a target of 63 runs. However, Master 11 Basohli chased the target effortlessly, securing victory by 10 wickets. Mr. Rashpaul was awarded Man of the Match for his exceptional bowling performance, taking 4 crucial wickets. J&K Police emphasized that the tournament aims to promote a drug-free society by engaging youth in constructive activities like sports. The initiative is part of a broader effort to raise awareness about the ill effects of substance abuse and encourage healthy lifestyles. |
