Early Times Report KATRA, Mar 20: As part of the Fit India Initiative, the Sports Club of Govt. Degree College (GDC) Katra organized a motivational lecture on "Fit Mind, Fit Body, Fit India." The event, aimed at promoting health and wellness among students, was coordinated by Prof. Mohd Younus Saleem, who also delivered the welcome address. The session was conducted under the esteemed guidance of Principal Dr. Rajni Bhagat. A large number of students from all semesters actively participated, making the event a resounding success. Prof. Mohd Younus Saleem, from the Department of English, served as the resource person and delivered an insightful lecture on the importance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle. He advised students to avoid junk food and opt for natural, homemade meals, while also emphasizing the significance of exercise, yoga, meditation, and gym workouts in daily life. "Adopting a healthy lifestyle at a young age strengthens immunity and helps combat diseases later in life," he remarked, urging students to make fitness a priority. Principal Dr. Rajni Bhagat also encouraged students to cultivate healthy eating habits and integrate regular exercise into their routines for overall well-being. The event was attended by several faculty members, including Prof. Shikha Bhasin, Dr. Manisha Kumari, Dr. Harmeet Kour, Dr. Sinduja Gupta, Somallya Dogra, Dr. Reetika, Dr. Abdul Hafiz, and Rita Kumari.
