Early Times Report DODA, Mar 20: The Indian Army conducted a successful Distribution Camp on March 19, 2025, in Bheja, Thanala, and Sharekhi, located in Bhaderwah, Doda, aimed at empowering and uplifting the local communities, particularly focusing on the differently-abled, women, and marginalized groups. The event featured the distribution of vital resources, including hearing aids for individuals with hearing impairments, which will enable better communication and integration into society. Wheelchairs were also given to those with mobility challenges, promoting greater independence and mobility for the elderly and disabled. Additionally, sewing machines were provided to women, equipping them with skills to enhance their livelihoods and contribute to their families' economic well-being. Solar lights were distributed to homes in impoverished areas, ensuring that families can enjoy reliable lighting, even during power outages. This initiative reflects the Army's ongoing commitment to supporting rural and marginalized communities, fostering development, inclusivity, and self-sufficiency. The Army's outreach efforts are helping to bridge gaps for the Gujjar and Bakkarwal communities, offering them equal opportunities for growth, health, and education.
