JAMMU, Mar 22: Government Degree College (GDC) Katra organized intra-college Kho-Kho matches under the Fit India Initiative to promote fitness and sportsmanship among students. The event saw enthusiastic participation from all semesters.
In the boys' category, B.A. Semester IV defeated B.A. Semester II, while in the girls' category, B.A. Semester IV secured victory against B.A. Semester VI. The matches were conducted under the patronage of Principal Dr. Rajni Bhagat, who encouraged students to engage in sports for a healthier lifestyle. Prof. Mohd Younus Saleem, Convener of the Sports Club, coordinated the event, with Dr. Abdul Hafiz (Dept. of Economics) and Ms. Somalya Dogra (Dept. of EVS) serving as scorers. Faculty members actively contributed to the event's success, reinforcing the significance of fitness and teamwork under the Fit India Initiative. |
