JAMMU, Mar 22: A group of LIC agents met the Hon'ble Leader of Opposition today to discuss key concerns.
Addressing the matter, LIC CEO & MD Siddhartha Mohanty stated, "LIC has introduced products aligned with IRDA's New Product Regulations, effective October 1, 2024, prioritizing policyholders' interests."
He emphasized LIC's commitment to expanding life insurance coverage, particularly in rural areas and among disadvantaged sections. Highlighting the Micro Bachat plan, he noted its Rs 1 lakh minimum sum assured and GST exemption. He also clarified that while product regulations have changed, agent commissions remain intact but are now staggered.
