Early Times Report BISHNAH, Mar 25: The Department of Environmental Sciences at Govt. Degree College (GDC) Bishnah organized an Awareness Program on Waste Segregation, followed by a Cleanliness Drive within the campus. The initiative aimed to educate students about responsible waste disposal and encourage active participation in maintaining a clean and sustainable environment. During the session, students learned about the importance of segregating dry and wet waste at the source, highlighting how proper waste management aids in recycling, reduces landfill waste, and minimizes pollution. The session emphasized the role of individuals in adopting sustainable habits for a greener future. Following the awareness program, students from the Department of Environmental Sciences enthusiastically took part in a Cleanliness Drive, ensuring various areas of the college campus were cleaned. Their efforts reinforced the importance of hygiene and environmental responsibility. The event was successfully conducted under the guidance of Principal Dr. Shallu Samyal, with dedicated support from faculty members Dr. Kusum, Dr. Vimpal Khajuria, Ms. Pallavi Bansal, Ms. Tina Gupta, Ms. Diksha, and Dr. Anshul.
