Early Times Report JAMMU, Mar 25: The State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT), Jammu & Kashmir, has launched an ambitious outreach program, "SCERT Jammu on Wheels," aimed at enhancing the professional development of teacher educators across the Jammu Division. The initiative was flagged off by Sh. Shantmanu (IAS), Financial Commissioner & Additional Chief Secretary, alongside Prof. (Dr.) Sindhu Kapoor, Joint Director, SCERT Jammu, and Smt. Anjali Gupta, Principal, DIET Jammu, marking a significant milestone in strengthening educational excellence in the region. Empowering Teacher Educators: Focus on modern pedagogical tools, innovative teaching methods, and research-based best practices. Bridging Gaps: Strengthening teacher education institutes and ensuring effective implementation of educational reforms. Outreach Locations: DIET Kud, GHSS Tikri, GMS Lehnu, and GGMS Dogra, covering 11 zones of Udhampur district. Core Focus Areas: NIPUN Bharat (FLN), PM e-Vidya, DIKSHA, NISHTHA, Assessment Cell, Multilingual Cell, NEP Cell, and Inclusive Education. Interactive Learning: Faculty-led experience-sharing and discussions for enhanced professional growth. Speaking at the launch, Sh. Shantmanu (IAS) emphasized the importance of continuous teacher training, stating that the initiative would make professional development more accessible and impactful at the grassroots level. Prof. (Dr.) Sindhu Kapoor highlighted the program's role in bridging policy and practice, ensuring a more skilled and informed teaching community.
