Early Times Report JAMMU, Mar 26: The Central Sanskrit University is set to organize the first-ever Indian Knowledge System Olympiad (IKS Olympiad) to promote Indian culture, traditions, and philosophy among students and the general public. Inaugurating the Olympiad, Vice-Chancellor Prof. Srinivas Varakhedi emphasized its role in reviving India's knowledge traditions within modern education. Olympiad Chairman Prof. Madan Mohan Jha outlined the subjects covered, including Vedas, Upanishads, Ramayana, Gita, Mahabharata, Yoga, Ayurveda, Indian Mathematics, and Modern Science. Open to students from schools, Gurukuls, colleges, and universities nationwide, the Olympiad will feature MCQs and explanatory questions. Registration begins on April 1, 2025, at www.sanskritolympiad.in. Winners will receive national-level certificates, medals, cash prizes, and exclusive opportunities to attend educational workshops on Indian philosophy and culture. |
