Jammu, Mar 27: Dogra Degree College, under the initiative of its Placement & Career Counselling Cell, successfully conducted a Student Knowledge Sharing Programme (SKSP) on “Everything About the Startup Ecosystem” and a Faculty Knowledge Sharing Programme (FKSP) on “Qualitative and Quantitative Research with Power BI” on March 27, 2025. These insightful sessions aimed to enrich students’ entrepreneurial acumen and enhance faculty research capabilities. The event was graced by the esteemed presence of Dr. Vipin Khurana, Dean & Deputy Campus Head, IBS Gurugram, a renowned academician and industry expert in business analytics, research, and data science. Dr. Khurana has an extensive background in research and management, with over 30 publications and years of experience mentoring scholars and industry professionals. The SKSP session provided a deep dive into the startup ecosystem, covering startup pitches, business model development, financial projections, valuation, and attracting investor interest. Students from BBA, B.Com, and BA actively participated, engaging in discussions on how to navigate the dynamic world of entrepreneurship. Following the student session, the Faculty Knowledge Sharing Programme (FKSP) focused on advanced research methodologies and data analysis using Power BI. Dr. Khurana shared valuable insights on leveraging technology for qualitative and quantitative research, aiming to elevate the academic and research prowess of faculty members. The event commenced with a warm welcome address by Mr. Rakesh Mohan Koul, HoD BBA & B.Com, who emphasized the importance of entrepreneurial learning and research in higher education. He highlighted the significance of research-driven learning and acknowledged the recent International Conference held by the Dogra Group of Colleges on March 22, 2025, which was a huge success. The occasion was graced by Dr. Samar Dev Singh Charak, Secretary, Dogra Educational Trust, who emphasized the importance of leveraging Power BI in qualitative and quantitative research work. Dr. Gitika Sehgal, Coordinator, DET, also graced the event, further adding to the significance of the knowledge-sharing initiative. The sessions were well-received, sparking thought-provoking discussions and interactions.
