Awareness lecture conducted by White Knight Corps | | | Early Times Report
Rajouri, Mar 30: White Knight Corps conducted an awareness and interaction with students of Government Medical College, Rajouri. The purpose of the session was to introduce the audience to the numerous benefits of pursuing a career in the Armed Forces Medical Services as part of the AFMS outreach initiative, which aims to make a career in the Armed Forces an attractive option for medical students and doctors. A team, headed by Army Hospital Rajouri, led the session. During the interaction, the students were provided with valuable insights into the various opportunities available within the AFMS. They were informed about the unique blend of medical practice and leadership development that the Armed Forces Medical Services offer. It was emphasized that working within the AFMS not only allows doctors to serve their country but also provides them with a platform to gain exposure to a wide range of medical conditions, acquire specialized training, and take on leadership roles early in their careers. The session highlighted the honour and prestige associated with serving in the Indian Army’s medical wing, where doctors are respected for their contributions both on the battlefield and in peacekeeping missions. Furthermore, the interaction shed light on the perks and benefits of working in the Armed Forces, including job security, opportunities for professional growth, and the chance to be a part of something greater than oneself. |
