Early Times Report AKHNOOR, Mar 31: In a significant step towards improving Rural Development, BJP leader and District Development Council (DDC) member, Pandit Suresh Sharma, inaugurated development projects worth Rs 18.50 lakh in Panchayat Barui of Block Maira Mandrian today. These projects include the construction of a lane in Sagani-Barola Pandit Mohalla, a culvert in Baral Mohalla, two lanes in village Parsoti, and drainage work in Sarpanch Mohalla of village Barui. The projects address long-pending demands of the local residents. While addressing the gathering, Suresh Sharma emphasized that development is progressing rapidly across every Panchayat in Block Maira Mandrian and Chowki Choura, in line with the Modi government's commitment to rural progress. He highlighted the Pradhan Mantri Gram Awas Yojana, under which people living in kucha houses are now receiving pucca homes, significantly improving their quality of life. Additionally, the government is working towards ensuring clean tap water reaches every household. Suresh Sharma reassured the public that more developmental initiatives will be undertaken across all Panchayats in the coming days. The residents of Panchayat Barui, expressing their deep appreciation, commended Suresh Sharma for his proactive efforts for the region's development.
