Early Times Report JAMMU, Apr 1: In a swift and successful operation, the Cyber Cell of District Police Jammu has recovered Rs 8,44,455 from online fraudsters involved in separate cyber crime complaints. The fraudsters had been using various deceptive tactics to cheat victims by luring them with false promises related to online trading, investment, and fraudulent transactions. Victims reported being tricked into returning money allegedly transferred to their accounts by mistake, while others were persuaded to invest money in fake schemes after being instructed to rate hotels and restaurants via a telegram group. The victims, including Ankit Kumar, Dushyant Kouahik, Shabnam Gupta, Raja Muhammad Umar, Rasneev Raina, and Mohd Jawat, approached the Cyber Cell Jammu after realizing they had been duped. Upon receiving these complaints, the Cyber Cell team launched a prompt investigation and, using their expertise and advanced technology, managed to trace the fraudsters and recover the entire amount of Rs 8,44,455. The successful operation highlights the professionalism and effectiveness of the Jammu Police's Cyber Cell in combating online crimes.
