JAMMU, Apr 1: In a significant move against criminals and absconders, the District Police Jammu successfully apprehended an absconder who had been evading arrest for nearly 14 years.
A team from Police Station Bishnah arrested Ramesh Kumar, son of Bhajan Lal, a resident of Chak Bala, Tehsil RS Pura, Jammu. He was wanted in a case registered under FIR No. 27/2011 at Police Station Bishnah, under sections 452/323 of the RPC. Despite a warrant issued under Section 512 CRPC by the Judicial Magistrate, First Class (JMIC), Bishnah, the accused had been on the run since the commission of the crime.
After completing the legal formalities, the accused was presented before the Hon'ble Court for judicial proceedings.
