Early Times Report JAMMU, Apr 2: A historic International Ramayana Conclave was organized at Shri Ranbir Campus, Central Sanskrit University, Kot Bhalwal, Jammu, under the joint aegis of the Department of Culture, Government of Uttar Pradesh, and the International Ramayana and Vedic Research Institute, Ayodhya. The event witnessed the participation of renowned scholars, saints, and Sanskrit literature experts, making it a significant cultural and spiritual gathering. Inaugural Ceremony The program commenced with Vedic chanting by students, followed by a Saraswati Vandana that filled the auditorium with spiritual energy. Dr. Anay Mani Tripathi and Dr. Praveen Mani Tripathi presented Vedic and Laukik Mangalacharan, setting the tone for the event. Significance of Ramayana Prof. Shridhar Mishra, Director, Shri Ranbir Campus, in his welcome address, emphasized that the Ramayana is not just a religious text but a universal code of conduct. He also honored distinguished guests, including Ashutosh Mishra, Advisor, International Ramayana and Vedic Research Institute, Ayodhya. Discourses by Eminent Saints Renowned spiritual leaders shared profound insights on various aspects of the Ramayana: Jagadguru Shankaracharya Amritanand Dev Teerth Ji Maharaj - Spoke on Ram Rajya and its socio-economic aspects. Acharya Mithileshnandini Sharan Ji Maharaj - Highlighted women's power and the ideal of Mother Sita. Swami Hridayanand Giri Ji Maharaj - Inspired the audience with teachings from Shri Ram's life. Mahamandaleshwar Swami Rameshwaram Das Ji Maharaj - Explained the devotional essence of Ramcharitmanas. Virtual Address by Vice-Chancellor, Central Sanskrit University Prof. Shrinivas Varkhedi connected virtually and emphasized the global relevance of the Ramayana, stating that its teachings continue to unite diverse cultures and societies. Interactive Sessions & Cultural Presentations Ramayana Q&A Session - Experts answered audience queries, deepening their interest in the epic. Ramcharan Sanskrit Program - A Dogri-language presentation of Ramayana episodes. Kavyarchan (Poetry Recitation) - Poets and Sanskrit scholars, including Vinod Gupta 'Nirmal', Sarvesh Asthana, Mohit Shorya, Son Rupa Vishal, and Soumya Shrivastav, presented Ramayana-inspired compositions. Rama Leela Enactment - Artists from Jammu & Uttar Pradesh brought key episodes to life, enthralling the audience. Bhajan Sandhya - Renowned singer Chaman Lahari captivated attendees with soulful Ram and Hanuman Bhajans. Release of Research Journals Two significant research journals of Shri Ranbir Campus, Shri Vaishnavi and Shikshamritam, were unveiled during the conclave.
