Early Times Report JAMMU, Apr 3: A felicitation ceremony was held at the District Police Lines (DPL) Conference Hall, Jammu, to honor the successful completion of the second batch of the Anti-Extremist Tactics Course. The two-month-long specialized training program was designed to enhance the counter-extremism capabilities of personnel from the Jammu Zone. The training, conducted at the Greyhounds Regional Training Centre, Visakhapatnam, equipped personnel with advanced counter-terrorism skills, preparing them for operational challenges in tackling extremist threats. The rigorous module included: Close Quarters Combat drills to enhance response in high-stress environments. Weapons handling and tactical maneuvers to neutralize threats efficiently. Urban warfare and built-up area engagements for counter-insurgency operations. Advanced cordon and search techniques for high-risk areas. Surveillance and covert operations for intelligence gathering. Rigorous endurance training to boost combat fitness. Emergency first aid techniques for battlefield medical response. Mental resilience training to handle high-pressure situations. Commendations and Recognitions During the ceremony, DGP Nalin Prahat applauded the dedication and perseverance of the trainees, emphasizing the importance of specialized training in enhancing security forces' preparedness. He urged the trained personnel to apply their newly acquired expertise in real-time operations to safeguard the region. IGP Jammu, Sh. Bhim Sen Tuti, IPS, also praised the officers, expressing confidence in their ability to tackle critical situations with professionalism and precision.
