Early Times Report JOURIAN, Apr 15: To mark the birth anniversary of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, the NSS Unit of Government Degree College Jourian, in collaboration with the Department of Political Science, organized a series of events aimed at celebrating the life and legacy of the principal architect of the Indian Constitution. The commemorative programme was held under the guidance of Principal Dr. Anuradha Pandoh. The eventful day began with the screening of a documentary on Dr. Ambedkar's life, offering students a visual journey through his struggles and achievements. This was followed by an extension lecture delivered by Dr. Latief Ahmad Lone, who provided deep insights into Dr. Ambedkar's pivotal role in shaping modern India and uplifting marginalized communities. To further engage students and enhance their understanding, a quiz competition was conducted, testing their knowledge of constitutional values and Dr. Ambedkar's contributions. The event culminated with the Preamble pledge, reaffirming the commitment of students and staff to uphold the values enshrined in the Indian Constitution. The college community paid rich tributes to Dr. Ambedkar, reaffirming his timeless message of equality, justice, and social empowerment. |
