Jammu, Apr 17: The Labour Department of Jammu and Kashmir has officially commenced the registration process for service providers participating in the Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra 2025. The registration was launched by Labour Commissioner Charandeep Singh (JKAS) in a ceremony attended by Deputy Labour Commissioners from Central, Jammu, and Kashmir regions, along with Assistant Labour Commissioners (ALCs) and a large number of service providers connecting virtually from various locations across the Union Territory. The registration drive is aimed at essential support personnel such as pony wallas, palki wallas, pithu wallas, and hawkers, whose role is crucial in assisting pilgrims during the yatra. The process is being carried out online through the Shri Amarnath Ji Shrine Board's portal, ensuring a fully digital and streamlined process for maximum transparency and convenience. During the session, the Labour Commissioner engaged with service providers, addressing their concerns and suggestions regarding their work and welfare. He assured that the department would prioritize addressing their grievances and work towards ensuring fair facilitation of their services. “This registration process is a key component of our operational readiness for the Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra 2025. We value the contributions of these service providers and are committed to ensuring their needs are met,” said Labour Commissioner Charandeep Singh. He urged all eligible service providers to complete their registration early through their respective ALC offices, stressing the importance of timely registration to avoid any last-minute issues and ensure a smooth experience for both service providers and the administration.
